Mobile Marketing Channels and Techniques


One technique of mobile marketing is push notifications which is one of the most common types of mobile marketing (Welch and Welch, 2018). One thing that needs to be done when it comes to push notifications is asking for permission . Another point would be to personalize your push notifications including the person’s name that they entered can have a sense of a personal one-on-one conversation. Another point is to not make it too simple as the user might just ignore it. So maybe think about adding pictures and/or videos as this makes it more visually appealing and doesn’t make it boring. Another point would be to make it clear what the notification is for and to give them a sense of them signing up for push notifications is something that non-users won’t get. 

 Another technique is in-app display media adverts these types of ads are in a lot of mobile games for example games that have hints you have to watch an ad to get a hint (Haran, 2022). A lot of ads have a direct link to the app store to download when you click on the ad on a mobile device. A common type of ad that is shown on mobile devices is a full-screen mobile ad which takes up the whole screen but after a certain time an x will appear for the user to exit the ad.
